Institute of Mathematics, Academy of Sciences,
Žitná 25, Prague, Czech Republic
May 15–17, 2013

Karel Segeth Professor Karel Segeth is a renowned expert in numerical analysis and computational methods. His research interests include adaptive finite element methods, a posteriori error estimates, image processing, mathematical models of semiconductors, quadrature formulae, and methods of numerical linear algebra. Karel Segeth has been working in the Institute of Mathematics since 1964. He was director from 1996 to 2004 and we are happy to host a conference on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
